Terms of use
Monarda Mediations Pty Ltd · Subtext · Updated 20 October 2026
Your agreement
Subtext is provided by Monarda Mediations Pty Ltd. By using Subtext you agree to these terms and contract with Monarda Mediations Pty Ltd for access to the service. Parents must be adults with authority to manage the family information and child devices they add.
A communication tool, not professional advice
Subtext supports co-parenting communication. AI suggestions and directory answers may be inaccurate or incomplete and do not establish a sender’s intent. Quizzes are reflections, not diagnoses. Outputs are not legal, medical, financial, counselling or crisis advice and must be independently verified, with qualified professional oversight where appropriate. You decide what to send; AI does not send on your behalf. In immediate danger call 000. Contact 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 732 for domestic and family violence support.
Safe and lawful use
Do not use Subtext for threats, abuse, stalking, unlawful content, fraud, spam, hate speech, deceptive deepfakes, malware, intellectual-property infringement, or attempts to bypass moderation or security. Do not probe, scrape or disrupt the service. You are responsible for your prompts, content, accuracy checks and use of outputs. Keep account credentials and child device links private. Young children need adult supervision.
Content and intellectual property
Monarda Mediations Pty Ltd retains ownership of Subtext software, documentation and branding. You retain your rights in your inputs and must have permission to upload them. We receive only the permission needed to securely host and process content to provide the service. AI outputs may not be unique or protectable; we do not guarantee exclusive rights. Rights holders can report infringement through the contact form at monardamediations.com.au. Repeated infringement may lead to suspension. We may remove or restrict unlawful content, refuse or filter AI outputs, and suspend accounts for serious or repeated violations.
Membership and cancellation
A signup receives a free 14-day trial. Membership costs AUD $20 monthly per family, normally AUD $10 from each parent or AUD $20 from one payer. Recurring billing starts only after an authorised checkout; signing up alone does not authorise a charge. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewals and preserves paid access through the current paid period. A change of payer must not create overlapping charges.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms.
Family access and ending service
Shared family records are accessible to both linked parents. Parent–child messages and boards are pair-specific, but either parent who manages a child’s device access can approve or restore that access. Drawing and chess are family-shared. Unlinking stops new shared communication and preserves existing records read-only; it does not delete them. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risks, or repeated serious policy violations. Contact Monarda through monardamediations.com.au for account-data requests.
Service availability and your rights
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service or successful video connections on every network. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees under Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Australian law applies, subject to any mandatory rights in your location.
